Udzungwa National Park covers 1,990 sq km and has East Africa’s greatest altitudinal forest range. It is the only regional park with continuous forest cover from below 250m to mountain peaks.

Bordered by the Great Ruaha River, the park sits north of Mikumi National Park and Selous Game Reserve. It provides vital water for many endemic plant and animal species.

Udzungwa is home to several primates, including the rare colobus monkey and the Sanje Crested Mangabey, found only in this park.
