See our reviewsThe great wildebeest migration in Tanzania is considered one of the greatest shows in the world. Every year millions of wildebeest along with giant herds of grazers across Northern Tanzania and Kenya is a truly spectacular event. Over two million wildebeest, zebra, and other gazelles move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara eco-system in search of water and lush grazing grounds. During this great migration where the millions of gazelles move in search of life a lot lose their life due to the exhaustion, hunger, and a large number got hunted by the predators. The best time to witness this great migration is during the dry season which occurs between July to early October when the large herds move constantly through the National parks of Tanzania.
After breakfast pick from Arusha drive to Manyara for lunch Afternoon depart for a half day game drive in the park Some animals found in the park include buffalo, elephants, leopards, baboons, impala, giraffes, zebra and wildbeest. Lake Manyara which occupies roughly 70% of the park contains over 400 bird species – a paradise for the ornithologist.

Breakfast then drive to the famous Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti National Park covers an area of 14,763 sq km in whose name in Maasai language means endless plains. Common animals in these plains include lions, buffaloes, impalas, hippos, waterbucks, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles and rhino. Late afternoon game drive en route.

Full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park Serengeti provides sanctuary to the highest concentration of plain animals in the world. Survey estimates have put the animal population at about 4,000,000 including 3000 lions, 1,600,000 wildebeests, 300,000 Thompson and grants gazelle, 500,000 zebras. For the ornithologist, there are over 400 species of birds in the Serengeti.

Depart for an early morning game drive in Serengeti Breakfast at leisure. Afterwards drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area. Brief stop at Olduvai gorge Tanzania’s secret garden’ which contains a hidden world of teeming wildlife. Descend 2000 feet from the lush rain forest on the rim to the Savannah bush and acacia woodland on the crater floor.

After breakfast descend the crater floor for a half-day tour till. Lunch will be taken at one of the picnic sites on the crater.

After breakfast drive back to Arusha . Lunch at Impala Hotel. Dayroom to be provided Later in the afternoon transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your onward flight .
Antelope Safaris organized our safari covering Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro in May of 2015. The tour was well organized and our guide was excellent. Overall I was very happy with the trip and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great safari experience on a moderate budget.

Planning was very competent, and all interactions with Antelope staff (head office, drivers) was delightful and 5 star. The only drawback was the lodge chosen whose quality had gone done a bit.
All things considered, the safari was a resounding success, and organizing it with Antelope was easy and a joy.
Antelope did an outstanding job in organizing tours to Selous, Serengetti, Nogorongoro and other parts. Our guide Miraji was a fine man.
The whole experience dealing with Antelope from beginning to end was easy and hassle free. Communication with the tour company was fast and prompt (getting replies with an hour of sending emails). As a Tanzanian I was very impressed with how easy it was to sort everything and how tourist friendly my country was in general.
Travel experience was excellent. Beat our expectations in terms of quality of lodging, but also in how seriously they took making sure that everything was going smooth during the trip.

Our honeymoon experience was made all the more special by the care and attention given to us by the staff of Antelope especially our guide and driver Charles. We saw the most spectacular sights, relaxed and indulged in comfort, good food and warm hospitality.

We booked two weeks individual safari with Antelope Safari in September 2014. One week in Kenya, one week in Tanzania. Not only were they the fastest to respond to our inquiries compared to all other companies we contacted, they were also very uncomplicated in their organization via email and fulfilled all our wishes (i.e., parks that we wanted to visit, a combination of driving and some nature walks, and a mix of lodges and tented lodges) in the program.
