Over two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles travel through the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems, seeking water and lush grazing grounds. However, many do not survive, falling victim to exhaustion, hunger, or predators lurking along their path. The best time to witness this awe-inspiring migration is during the dry season, from July to early October, when large herds move continuously through Tanzania’s national parks.
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Manyara for lunch. In the afternoon, set off on a half-day game drive through the park. Wildlife sightings may include buffaloes, elephants, leopards, baboons, impalas, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests.Lake Manyara, covering approximately 70% of the park, is home to over 400 bird species, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts.

We booked two weeks individual safari with Antelope Safari in September 2014. One week in Kenya, one week in Tanzania. Not only were they the fastest to respond to our inquiries compared to all other companies we contacted, they were also very uncomplicated in their organization via email and fulfilled all our wishes (i.e., parks that we wanted to visit, a combination of driving and some nature walks, and a mix of lodges and tented lodges) in the program.
