Overview

The United Republic of Tanzania is a country in East Africa that borders Uganda to the north; Kenya to the northeast; the Comoro Islands at the Indian Ocean to the east. Dar es Salaam used to be the capital of the country but after the independence in 1996 Dodoma was declared as the new capital. However, Dar es Salaam is still the economic capital of the country.

Tanzania is one of the oldest regions of the planet having life on it which got proven by the archaeologists who discovered the fossils of humans and hominids. The country was ruled by British and German colonials for a long time period.
