Wages in Tanzania is not much high so paying tip is quite common in Tanzania and is highly appreciated.

Who to tip:

Tipping the guides:  A good and experienced guide can make your Tanzania safari successful by taking you to the right places at the right time so that you can enjoy the game drive to the fullest.  Mostly travelers tip the guides for helping them to enjoy the best of Tanzania safari.

Hotels tipping: A team of staff in every hotel or at the luxurious campsites work dedicatedly to make the tourists visit a comfortable one like chefs, kitchen team, maids, and house-keeping staff. These hotels usually have “tip boxes” where you can drop the tipping amount or you can tip the staff directly.

Drivers: Safaris are mostly visited in Safari vehicles and an experienced driver is as much needed as an experienced guide.

Porters:  While climbing Kilimanjaro porters are the one who carries out most of the luggage of the climbers which make the climbing easy and successful. However, porters are not permanent staff of the trek operators and are the lower paid employees. So tipping porters is quite common in Tanzania.
