Tarangire Activities

Overview

Being the 6th largest national park of the country Tarangire National Park offers many activities to the safari tourists.

• The national park offers a great opportunity to spot large herds of elephants as the park has some of the highest population density of elephants anywhere in Tanzania.


• The dense bush and tall, swaying grasses provide a unique glimpse to nature and one of the best spot to fill your camera’s memory with photos.


• Spotting the very unique white giraffe which can leave you stunned with its beauty.


• Viewing the great migration at the dry season when you can witness numerous herds of wildebeest, giraffe and other animals in search of vegetation.


• Named as a paradise for bird-lovers, drier areas of the park give an exclusive view of birds including Stocking-thighed Ostrich; the world’s largest bird, the Kori Bustard; the heaviest flying bird in the world, and smaller groups of hornbills.
