Overview

Tanzania is a homeland to some of the most incredible tribal diversity which includes 125 tribal groups. These diversified tribal groups have similarly diversified language and culture practices. There are almost 120 languages spoken throughout the country, however, English and Swahili are the most spoken languages and Swahili is the official language of the country.

Few iconic cultural traditions followed:

• Believes in Ancestors: Tanzanians pays great homage to their ancestors with believes that they will protect them from evils like witchcraft which is still hugely practiced in Tanzania.


• Use your hands correctly: The best route for the inexperienced trekkers.


• Whether eating or greeting you need to use your right hand always as using left hand is considered as disrespectful.


• Taking Snaps: Taking aroma of your food before eating is strictly prohibited as the takes it as an insult to their food.


• Always seek permission from the locals before taking their pictures, especially the older group peoples get irritated as they believe taking photos is stealing their souls.
