Often regarded as a preparatory climb before tackling Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru is an impressive peak in its own right. Standing at 4,566 meters, it is Tanzania’s second-highest mountain and the fourth-highest in Africa. Located approximately 70 km southwest of Kilimanjaro and east of the Great Rift Valley, it offers breathtaking trekking routes. Nestled within Arusha National Park, it not only provides a rewarding climb but also the chance to encounter diverse wildlife along the way.
