While climbing through the routes the trekkers experience 5 distinct climate zones which as Bush land /Cultivated Zone, Rain Forest Zone, Heath/Moorland Zone, Alpine Desert Zone, and Arctic Zone. Bush land /Cultivated Zone welcomes from 2,600 to 6,000 ft where you are likely to meet Bush, plains, and lowland forests. The rain forest zone welcomes from 6,000 to 9,200 ft where you are likely to meet dense rain forest and less wildlife. Starting from 9,200 to 13,200 ft is the Heath & Moor eland zone that is characterized by heath-like vegetation and abundant wildflowers. Continuing from 13,200 to 16,500 ft the Alpine Desert Zone continues which is rocky ground with less vegetation and water source. Above 16,500 ft the Arctic Zone started which is covered by dense snow. Weather: Kilimanjaro only experience 2 kinds of weather; one is dry weather and another one is wet weather.
