Tanzania is one of the best safari destinations in the world with much regional variation in geography and climate. There are millions of tourists’ pays a call to the magical country to experience the best nature has to offer.

But the most debatable question is which the best time to visit Tanzania is. Being one of the closest places to the south equator the country experience 2 distinct climates, the wet season and the dry season.

Best Time:

• June- October: This is considered as the dry season and ideal to visit all national parks as there is a better chance of wildlife viewing. During the dry season, the animal herds face towards the water sources of the national park which makes them easily spottable.


• July- March: Northern circuit parks get crowded from July to March.


• July-October: The southern circuit’s national park receives crowds only in between July-August-September-October


• March-May: This is the wet season and the country receives fewer travelers as the heavy rainfall makes it hard to spot the wildlife. However, northern circuit parks and western circuit parks get a handful of travelers and many lodges remain closed during the wet season.
